Adventures
Tom has a passion for adventure whether it is a local microadventure or long distance destination trip. His goal is to showcase local outdoor recreation amenities, non-profit organizations and raise money for charity through adventure travel. Biking, SUP, fly fishing, canoeing and kayak are just a few of the human powered activities showcased on his trips.

Consulting
Tom has over 20 years of professional experience in sports, adaptive recreation and outdoor adventure. He is passionate about promoting an active lifestyle and living life with no regrets. Mix in his playful personality with his technical expertise and you have a great resource to grow a brand, develop an event, organize an adventure and make recreation and sport accessible to all. Tom worked as a recreation coordinator for people with disabilities for nine years at Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities and as an outdoor recreation events coordinator with Five Rivers MetroParks. Tom is well respected in the outdoor industry, adaptive recreation field and amongst his family and friends. His uncanny ability to grow positive relationships and no limits thinking creates an environment for success in any situation.

Event Support
Tom can help take your event to the next level or provide leadership to create a new event for your community, cause, company or organization. He is comfortable in any leadership role or can provide that extra labor needed to offer a successful event. With over 40 events under his belt as the lead coordinator, Tom has the ability to design events, lead strategic discussions, develop marketing plans, manage social media, recruit and train volunteers, solicit sponsor partnerships, work with media and create staffing roles. Guide Services
We offer a variety of custom guided adventures and lessons in fly fishing, biking, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing for all interests and ability levels. Fly Fishing
Tomfoolery Outdoors offers guided fly fishing adventures and casting instruction on local rivers and lakes in the Dayton, Ohio area. These rivers offer smallmouth bass, carp and brown trout fly fishing opportunities. Trips have four hour or eight hour options. All gear is provided! Casting lessons are offered in one or two hour sessions. In addition, we offer custom regional destination trips upon request. Tom has over 17 years of fly fishing experience chasing freshwater and saltwater experience. He is thrilled to showcase our local waterways and has experience with several fly fishing destinations including Great Lakes Steelhead, Florida Keys, Smoky Mountains National Park, Colorado, Arkansas, England, North Carolina tailwaters, Tennessee tailwaters,
Paddling
Tomfoolery Outdoors offers guided paddling adventures and instruction on local rivers and lakes in the Dayton, Ohio area in stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing. Our local rivers and lakes are perfect for beginners and those looking to give overnight paddling adventures a try. Tom has several paddling adventures that provide the knowledge to offer a quality experience. He is the first person to stand up paddleboard the entire 156 miles of the Great Miami River, lived on a kayak for 30 days circumnavigating the Florida Keys and thru paddled the Little Miami River, Mad River and Greeneville Creek in Southwest Ohio. His most recent adventure was SUP the Exumas. A 35 day journey island hopping, camping, sunset chasing over 300 miles of the breathtaking Bahamian island chain. Day and overnight trips are offered. All gear can be provided by special request! Individual or groups lessons are offered in two or four hour sessions. In addition, we offer custom regional destination trips upon request.
Bicycling
Southwest Ohio is home to the largest connected bikeway network in country providing an amazing opportunity to explore our region via bicycle. Over 330 miles of paved trail are available to host group rides, overnight tours and private lessons. Tom has several cycling adventures that provide the knowledge to offer a quality experience including a cross country ride along from San Diego to Key West and Atlantic Coast ride from Key West to Canada.
He has completed several smaller self supported tours on the Ohio to Erie Trail and the Alleghany Passage and C&O Canal Trail. In addition, Tom is a regular commuter and has countless over night bicycle micro adventures on his resume. Tours, group/individual lessons and leisure rides are offered through the year. In addition, we offer custom regional destination trips upon request.
